Each month more than 1 billion unique users have been recorded. Acknowledge their affiliation with Google. The combination is stupendous. It may be safe, to say they practically have government status. This is how to make a channel on YouTube. The first thing you must do is sign up.

You'll need a screen name. Try to have a unique easy name. Don't sign up, with a long and drawn out screen name. People won't remember your long and drawn out names. Trust me. The attention span of the average person is short. Surfer's on the web are like flies. That includes me. The next thing you need is a video. You only need one, but many are better. It's time to make a video boys and girls (ladies and gentlemen). How difficult is it to point your cell phone camera at yourself? Hold it steady and say something interesting. That's actually all you need to do. You now have a video.

There are other ways of making video. You don't even need a camera. You can make a slide show using virtually any free or paid software. It's a matter of posting a picture and saying something or writing text. Progress through a time line. Save the pictures in one of the popular video formats. YouTube accepts all popular video formats. Check to see the compatibility of the file you save. Give your video a title. This is where things get perhaps technical or tricky. Have no fear. You'll idealistically want a title relevant, to your video. You'll also want your title to be a popular searched keyword or keyword phrase. How much competition for your keyword or phrase is important. Too much competition will likely leave your video unseen. Contending with competition is a separate science deserving study. Check with Google's Keyword Planner and look at "competition." Beginners may randomly give their videos titles. You should eventually learn to be selective with keyword, keyword phrases and titles. Professional marketers create titles from researching keywords and keyword phrases. Then they make a video. It's actually a clever and common marketing tactic. There's the school of thinking which allows the marketer to create a sales pitch or video before they ever have a product. There is also the conservative marketer, who finds a product or service and then creates the pitch or video. The only golden rule I can actually conceive is "get something done." The choice is yours. Remember the acquisition of money requires planning. These are merely issues to consider upon creating a popular YouTube site.

I'm assuming you want to be popular. You'll want to put something in your video description area. The classic thing to do is include your URL. Insert your affiliate link or a website. If you don't have either, get one. Your URL will become active and clickable. You may put whatever you want, up to a certain amount of characters.
Your description area is compared to a classified ad. This is where you can give a brief pitch and leave your clickable link. It would behoove you to graciously make a seductive statement. That's also another minor science.
